Eligibility Criteria
Master’s degree in Economics, English, Psychology or any
other relevant subject with 55% marks or equivalent CPI/CGPA (Grade).
The students awaiting their qualifying examination results
are also eligible to apply. They need to submit the qualifying mark sheets
and/or certificates at the time of admission.
Candidates applying for the doctoral program in part-time
mode shall possess a minimum of 3 years of work experience post completion of
Master’s degree.
The competence of these candidates will be assessed along
with the regular candidates
Please note that the qualifying degree of applicant
should be from an accredited university /deemed-to-be-university or an
institution of higher learning of comparable standing. The eligibility criteria
given above are the absolute minimum. Institute may prescribe any requirements
over and above these. In case the candidates are awarded grades/CPI/CGPA
instead of marks, applicant would have to produce the grade-percentage
conversion criterion or formula provided by the university/institution from
where the applicant has obtained the degree. In case, where, a
university/institute does not provide any scheme for converting CPI/CGPA into
equivalent marks, UGC and AICTE guidelines would be applicable.
Additional Information regarding the Part-time Ph.D.
admission
The
competence of these candidates will be assessed along with the regular
candidates.
After
joining, the rules and regulations as specified by the Institution for
regular
candidates with regard to academic performance will remain
applicable for candidates under part time category also.
The
candidate should submit, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the
organization, in which s/he is employed, at the time of admissions giving
an undertaking that s/he would be released from the normal duties to
fulfil the course-work requirement (and qualifier examination, if
applicable).
The
(NOC) should be on a proper letter head from the appropriate authority in
the organization clearly stating the following:
the
candidate is permitted to pursue studies on a part-time basis
he/she
will be fully relieved from duty and permitted to reside at the Institute
for the period of required residency that is essential for completing the
course work (this is not a requirement for candidates who are working in
Jaipur or organizations located within a commutable from the Institute).
that
his/her official duties permit him/her to attend required classes as per
the timetable of LNMIIT, Jaipur;
that
his/her official duties permit him/her to devote sufficient time for
research.
Any
Intellectual Property developed by him/her during the course of his / her
doctorate degree / Ph.D. programme will be owned by LNMIIT, Jaipur,
unless the sponsoring organization enters into a separate MoU/Agreement
with LNMIIT, Jaipur specifying the terms of IP ownership, before the
enrolment of the candidate.
The
candidate has to complete the coursework immediately after joining the
programme within a period of two semesters.
Depending
on the student’s background and the programme requirements, an additional
semester may be needed to complete the coursework. After fulfilling the
coursework and the qualifier examination at the Institute, these
candidates will be allowed to register for Ph.D.
