Masters

This master’s program was launched in September 2015. It focuses on the modern aspects of combinatorics or, a bit more generally, discrete mathematics — and their applications in computer science and in the theory of complex networks. This program starts off with ‘reintroduction’ courses. These are needed to smooth out the differences between the students’ basic knowledge in algebra, probability theory, and basic discrete mathematics. These subjects underlie the study during the next three semesters, which is aimed at forming a solid picture of modern combinatorics with a slight emphasis on graph (and network) theory and geometry.
