Our goal is to provide students with a deepened awareness of themselves and their place in their environment, community and culture, through study and production of the visual arts. Our curriculum balances intellectual and hands-on exploration of the visual arts, training students to become professional artists in a rigorous, student-centered learning environment. Fine Arts courses are instructed by practicing Artists and Art Historians whose courses are designed and coordinated to establish a strong foundation in all facets of the visual arts. Research and production in the visual arts is integral to the development and expression of cultural identities that can both reflect and challenge the values and norms of our pluralistic society. In a rapidly changing environment we prepare students with skills and abilities in Fine Arts that will enable them to find a place in the diverse cultures and values of Canada and the world.
