National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" is one of the main technical universities in Russia in the field of Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Radio Engineering and Electronics, Informatics and Computer Science, founded in 1930.
Services & Facilities:
* Students’ Campus (SC) is a big infrastructure around the MPEI university. It consists of different buildings of the students’ hostels, the infrastructure’s enterprises (laundry, dining-halls, cafes, shops etc.), the students’ sanatorium-preventorium, an out-patient clinic, the sport facilities, the large stadium “Energia”, a swimming-pool, a custodial service, MPEI House of Culture etc.
* Scholarships and financial aid. There is the Russian Government Scholarship Program, which offers 2-year scholarships for Master's program and 3-year (or 4-year) scholarships PhD program. Benefits: full tuition, monthly stipend.
* Support for new students. The University has an adaptation program for foreign students (pre-arrival support, welcome talk, international student advisors, excursions around Moscow, course on Russian culture, festival of foreign students).
* Learn the language of Pushkin and Dostoevsky. We offer language courses and seminars for students with various levels of Russian and welcome you to show your skills in the Open Russian language MPEI Olympiad.
