The Department of Architecture, established in 1991, originated from an architecture program that was offered by the Taiwan Institute of Technology. Over the last two decades, our department has evolved into one of the leading institutions in architectural education and research in Taiwan and beyond. Our aim is to provide modern architectural education that takes Taiwan’s climatic, environmental and social conditions into consideration. We developed a diverse and adaptable curriculum which integrates the training of practical skills and theoretical knowledge. The interconnections among architecture and social environment, green building design and digital architecture are key areas in our teaching as well as in research.
