The first university level degree is the Bachelor’s degree. To qualify for a Bachelor’s degree program, applicants should complete senior secondary education. In some cases, applicants, who are willing to get undergraduate degrees in Russian, may need to do an extra preparatory year (University Foundation Program) due to certain special requirements for language and scientific or mathematical studies. 

SPbPU provides a wide range of Bachelor’s degree in 50 different fields of science:

• BSc in Russian

• International BSc in English

• Double Degree Programs

Duration of studies: 4 years.

Academic year starts on September 01 and ends at the end of June. Each academic year consists of 2 semesters (September-January and February-June). Exact dates of academic calendar are updated every year. Information about applying to Bachelor Degree programs you can find here .

Master's degree is a second-cycle academic degree. A Master's degree normally requires previous study at the bachelor's level, either as a separate degree or as part of an integrated course program. In some cases you may need to do an extra preparatory year due to certain special requirements for language and scientific studies. 

Duration of studies: 2 years. You may also apply for PhD degree in English.

Accomodation and location:

International students are provided with double accommodation in a comfortable student dormitory, which is 5-7 minutes walk to undeground stations. The university's campus is located in the north-west of the city, close to the city center.
