International Master in Cybersecurity Management

Cybersecurity is becoming more and more relevant in all organisations, due to ever- growing digitalisation of activities in a globally hyper-connected world. The diffusion of ICT has dramatically increased the risks of a loss of confidentiality, integrity and availability of data, with potential huge financial impacts (and sometimes putting the survival of organisations themselves at risk). Also, Covid-19 (and the consequent lockdown, which imposed a massive use of home/smartworking) clearly showed that business organisations, public administration and end users are often unaware of risks (or, anyway, unable to manage them properly). Indeed, the number of cases of hacking and fraud during the Covid-19 emergency increased dramatically. Hence, companies understood that they need to strengthen this area by acquiring new competences and skills to protect their business from cyber risk. The Master will prepare students for a leadership role that strengthens organisations by understanding cybersecurity risks, the possible impacts on business and possible countermeasures, with important insights into governance, compliance, and regulatory issues. Through experiential learning, case study analysis, and the illustration of leading security technologies taught by expert faculty members, students will develop key management skills for realising a corporate cybersecurity plan.
