The Prague University of Economics and Business, founded in 1953, is a leading Czech university in fields of management and economics. About 14 thousand students are enrolled at VŠE and it employs 500 qualified academics. Graduates occupy positions in the sector of banking, accounting and auditing sale, sales, marketing, business and trade, public administration, information technologies, etc. Studies at VŠE meet the requirement of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS).
VŠE is ranked by the Financial Times annually and has already been appraised for several years by the Eduniversal Ranking project as one of the best "business schools" in Central and Eastern Europe. The University received many international accreditations. The Faculty of Business Administration is EQUIS accredited, which ranks the Faculty to among the top 1% of business schools in the world. The "Master in Official Statistics" specialization received the accreditation EMOS (European Master in Official Statistics) by the ESSC (European Statistical System Committee). The Faculty of Finance and Accounting received the accreditation from the professional body ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
In August, 2018, the Initial Accreditation Committee of AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accepted the Initial Self Evaluation Report, thus allowing VŠE to enter the core part of accreditation process.
The University offers bachelor's, master's, PhD and MBA degree study programs taught in Czech and English language.

Admission procedure
All applicants have to fill in an online application form, pay the application fee (50 EUR), send some application documents (usually CV, motivation or recommendation letter, proof of English knowledge etc.) and pass the admission exam (long-distance one only).
Admission requirements
Undergraduate courses: completed secondary education
Postgraduate courses: completed bachelor's degree (preferably in a related field of study)

The tuition fee for international programs at VŠE is 5.000 EUR/academic year.

The admission procedure is decentralized at the Prague University of Economics and Business. The faculties themselves determine the specific conditions of admission.
Faculties
VŠE has six faculties, five of them offer English taught programs, they are located in the centre of Prague.
VŠE provides its students with high quality study environment and conditions. The University library contains more than 430 thousand books and 330 journals and provides access to numerous electronic databases with e-journals and periodicals on broad range of topics.
Students may use hundreds of computer stations on campus and wireless network.
For students, who do not come from Prague, there are almost 4,500 beds available at the university's dorms.
The university has its own sports facilities. Students may use the modern, multipurpose sport arena which was opened 2009.

Student life
The English taught programs are very international, about 90% of students are non-Czechs. There are more than 94 nationalities.
VŠE supports many students clubs and activities. Example of these activities include a choir, a chamber orchestra, a folklore group, a film club, a theatre group, and student journals.
Most of VŠE students start working during their studies, especially thanks to the wide network of corporate partners our university has. Therefore they can build their career earlier. The unemployment rate of our graduate is less than 1%.
The University has an alumni database and a network which helps to our graduates to find quickly a new job and stay in contact with the University.
The University organizes also twice a year a Job Fair Trade, where over 100 employers offers internships, part-time jobs and full-time jobs to VŠE students and graduates.
Also, tight-knitted alumni communities are established within specific programs with their own activities throughout a year. There is also an Individual Career Counselling Centre.

The tuition fee per academic year amounts to 5.000 EUR.
In case you aren’t the EU citizen (or citizen from Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland) you have to apply for Visa before coming to the Czech Republic. The Visa procedure takes basically 1-2 months after the submission of the Visa application. How to apply for Visa look here.
Yes, we have enough space in our dormitories. Students have to fill in an application, which are open usually in June. Look for more information on the dormitories webpage here.
