The aim of the study programme “ Finance and Accounting ” is to gain knowledge in finance and accounting at the level of the standard finance and accounting master’s degree programme at the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at the Prague University of Economics and Business.
The core profile will focus on issues of:
- corporate finance, financial derivatives, business valuation
- accounting (IFRS), performance management,
- audit and assurance,
- taxation,
- economics,
- ethics,
- international finance,
- economic and financial aspects of the European economic integration.
The programme, which is a merger of two separate disciplines – finance and accounting, is unusual at Czech universities, but it is comparable to similar programmes at foreign universities. Concurrent focus on finance and accounting also increases the graduates’ chances in the labour market as their wider range offers them more job possibilities as well as greater flexibility.
