Chemistry is essential in modern society. We can find the element of chemistry in our everyday lives such as the electronics in our mobile phone, the fibre optics which bring high-speed broadband, most of the fabrics and dyes in clothing – none of these would exist without a thorough understanding of the chemical properties of substances. Students can complete an optional work placement year as part of this degree course at no extra cost. This course is accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
