Télécom Paris is one of the top engineering schools in France for general engineers. Télécom Paris is a founding member of Institut Polytechnique de Paris, a science and technology research and education institution of excellence launched in 2019 with École Polytechnique, ENSTA Paris, ENSAE Paris and Télécom SudParis. Télécom Paris is also a member of Institut Mines Télécom.

The School trains its graduates to “Innovate in today’s digital world.” Founded in 1878, Télécom Paris is the leading engineering school in France for digital technology. It offers a “tailor-made” master of science in engineering, masters, post-masters degrees and  PhD programs on its campus near Paris. Masters and PhD degrees are now part of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris broader program offering. 

With its top-level teaching and research, Télécom Paris is at the center of a unique innovation ecosystem, drawing on the interaction and cross-disciplinary nature of its academic programs, research center and two business incubators. The Student Union welcomes new students and facilitates integration into the school’s academic and social life. It coordinates the many activities offered by the 40 Télécom Paris clubs to ensure a rich and vibrant student life. It organizes all social events, trips abroad, sporting events, etc.

Sports facilities

Sports are an important part of student life at Télécom Paris. One free afternoon per week enables students to practice. They may choose among 15 disciplines including badminton, gym, handball, sailing, tennis, volleyball, rugby. Students also have access to the other Institut Polytechnique de Paris schools’ facilities.  Students have access to a wealth of learning facilities: an e-lab, a fab-lab, a design studio, 2 research laboratories and a library, which is, opened 7/7. They benefit from a whole range of IT services including personal email, free access to workstations, photocopying printing services and to the Télécom Paris network. 

A school social counselor and a psychologist are available to all students who may need assistance with bursary and financial issues, social issues and any personal, study-related, or campus life difficulties.

An international focus 

With one of the highest rates of international students among French engineering schools, Télécom Paris offers both students and professors a rich international working and study environment. International students account for 45% of the students on our campus. They are coming from 40 countries in Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe.

Télécom Paris is at the center of this unique ecosystem, drawing on the cross-disciplinary nature of its academic programs, research center and two business incubators. 

Student clubs

Over 40 clubs and associations offer a large variety of activities coordinated by the Student Union. The Union also organizes many integration activities and weekend trips with a special focus on international students’ interests.   Students take part into the many sport, cultural, musical, social and business events: theater, film festival, dance courses, concerts, sustainable development, Internship and Employment forum, digital network / robotics / programming clubs.  Festive activities are a major asset of Télécom Paris student life with events such as the French regional cuisine day, the international food forum, the many contests, parties, etc.


Housing services

Student housing is available close to the campus or in Paris (Cité Universitaire). Télécom Paris has agreed upon partnerships with public or private providers in order to provide affordable accommodation. Students receive assistance regarding accommodation options and residence permit procedures.

Télécom Paris is recognized in rankings for its strong corporate relations and employability: 12th worldwide and 1st in continental Europe, QS 2022 as an Institut Polytechnique de Paris member school. Télécom Paris offers excellent employment opportunities in all industries in France and internationally:

- 95% of our graduates are employed within 3 months of their graduation. 

- Graduates start working in companies of all sectors, sizes and locations and many also launch their own start-ups. Almost a third of them find their first job outside France. 

- Average annual gross salary without bonuses amounts to 47 880 € (Graduate first job report 2020)
