Admission Requirements
The choice between an MA or an MFA programme of study will depend upon your prior experience and future aspirations.
To study with us you’ll need a significant level of choreographic experience and/or an appropriate first degree (or an equivalent qualification).
We encourage applications from:
- Professional choreographers wishing to re-invigorate, broaden or consolidate their practice.
- Emerging choreographers intending to interrogate their practice and develop independent choreographic perspectives.
- Recently graduated dance artists showing a commitment to develop their choreographic practice.
If you are thinking about studying MFA Choreography you’ll need to demonstrate your ability to undertake self-directed research by submitting an initial project proposal, outlining the following:
- The reasons you wish to carry out an independent project over one academic year.
- Why you are suitable for extended independent research in the context of an MFA Choreography.
- The nature of your intended research and a draft projected timeline with indicated outputs of research (understandably subject to change).
We will also invite you to an interview (phone/online interview is accepted).
- Candidates are required to submit references or letter(s) of recommendation for acceptance
- Candidates are required to submit an essay(s) for acceptance
