The curriculum of the Master's Degree Course in Television, Cinema and New Media, with a unique formula on the national scene, combines theoretical and practical preparation along the entire chain of audiovisual design and production for traditional media (cinema, television) and new media (web, video games, mobile devices), stimulating students to develop the creative, technical and managerial skills necessary to enter the international markets of reference.
The degree course aims to provide students with a solid theoretical and practical preparation in the conception, production, implementation and analysis of communication projects and audiovisual products for television, film and new media (social networks, video games, digital video art). Through a mix of theoretical-critical teaching (frontal teaching) and practical-laboratory teaching (exercises), the degree course offers the essential tools for the acquisition of highly specialized technical skills, critical and strategic skills necessary to evaluate products and projects and to actively orient themselves within the national and international trends of the markets of reference.

Admission Requirements
- a relevant and coherent Bachelor's degree diploma correspondent to EQF (European Qualification Framework) Level 6 and 180 ECTS or more
- adequate Italian/English language proficiency
- specific basic knowledge about core subjects
Language requirements
Non-EU students residing abroad
If you are interested in one of the two-year Master’s degree courses offered in Italian you will have to provide proof of your language proficiency by submitting an official certificate (i.e. CILS, CELI, PLIDA) at level B2 of CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) or by passing an Italian online language assessment test organised by IULM in the months prior the start of the academic year.
IULM University also offers the opportunity to attend an intensive Italian language improvement course organised at the beginning of September.
If you are interested in a two-year Master’s degree course taught in English you will have to provide proof of your language proficiency by submitting an official certificate with a score equal to or higher than level B2 of CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) in compliance with official certificates listed in the Admission Regulations or by passing a English online assessment test to ascertain your level of proficiency with a score equal to or higher than level B2 of CEFR.
Our team will carefully evaluate all the documentation submitted, check that the access requirements have been met, evaluate and confirm eligibility prior to taking the admission test for your chosen two-year Master’s degree course.
