The University campus now includes a Medical School, a School of Psychology and a School of Philosophy, an Internationally recognized Research Institute, and a Science Park, allowing for unsurpassed interaction. In addition, the University is affiliated with San Raffaele Hospital, a part of the San Donato Group, Italy's leading Hospital group, and has 30 Medical Specialization Schools within.
San Raffaele is considered the leading Scientific Care Institution as per volume and scientific research in Italy: The publications of 2022 amount to 2081 with a total impact factor of 11733. Scientific Research of the San Raffaele comes from the work done in a number of divisions, institutes, and research centers operating in all biomedical research areas and occupying over 130,000 square meters. Students from all over the world are welcome to San Raffaele. The University offers undergraduate, graduate and single-cycle courses in Italian within the three faculties. It also offers three English taught courses, the International MD Program , a six-year MD degree course, the Msc in Cognitive Psychology in Health Communication and the Msc in Biotechnology and Medical Biology . Master programs and PhD courses are also offered in English.
The University has two Student Halls allowing International Students to have a place to stay on campus. The UniSR International Office is the referent for any aspect of the International Student's life while in San Raffaele.
The university's two campuses - Campus Via Olgettina and Campus Segrate 2 - are conveniently located just 7 minutes apart by walking.

University information
UniSR admits students to its degree programs through entrance examinations and evaluation of graduate and post-graduate titles. Specific competition calls regulate these exams and provide information on application opening and closing dates, enrolment documentation, deadlines, and fees. Each degree program has its own competition call and test dates and deadlines. To access competition calls, students may visit our admission website for review.
To enroll in an undergraduate program, a high school certificate and at least 12 years of education are generally required. However, some high school curricula may have additional admission requirements .

UniSR International MD Program enjoys recognition from the World Health Organization, the British General Medical Council (UK) and by the US Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG®). A graduate from the MD Program can register to any Medical Board in the EU (Including UK-GMC).
Depending on the program chosen, students will need to have:
- for students applying to the International MD Program- it is necessary to have 12 years of education and English language skills at the C1 level. Additional requirements may appear depending on your school diploma, check details here. Moreover, the admission process is organized through a UniSR entrance test, which is necessary to qualify.
- for students applying to MSc in Biotechnology and Medical Biology - candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences and have a B2 level of English proficiency. Admissions are determined by the UniSR entrance test.
