Since its establishment in 1988 as an institute in which students study two
disciplines (technology and electrical engineering), Medea University has
experienced a rapid growth of its facilities and areas of specialization.
In 2000, it becames a university center which includes 5 institutes (Institute
of Science and Technology, Institute of Economic Sciences, Commercial Sciences
and Management Sciences, Institute of Law and Administrative Sciences and Institute
of literature and Languages).
The university has continued to make its way to new horizons in the light of
science and knowledge in order to confirm its dignity and its right to be among
the distinguished universities.
It was promoted to university in 2009, where it has made, subsequently, a
quantum leap in terms of facilities and quality of teaching, as well as
specialties that have been offered to its students.
With three university poles equipped with the best facilities and the latest
modern technologies, the University of Medea actually has 6 faculties (Faculty
of Letters and Languages, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of
