The Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons) at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) is a four-year, full-time programme offered by the College of Engineering at UNITEN's Putrajaya campus. It builds strong fundamentals in mechanics, thermodynamics, materials, and design, emphasising innovative problem-solving for industry challenges and preparing graduates for careers in engineering design, manufacturing, energy systems, and research.

Core areas of study include mathematics and computational fundamentals, mechanics (statics, dynamics, materials), thermodynamics and heat transfer, fluid mechanics, machine design and theory, manufacturing processes, control systems and instrumentation, and engineering project work, together with a minimum 12-week industrial training placement after semester 6. Students may pursue specialisation tracks in Nuclear Engineering, Renewable Energy & Sustainability, Robotics, AI & Advanced Manufacturing, or Advanced Computational Engineering, with cross-disciplinary integration available in Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Energy Economics, Cyber Security, and Artificial Intelligence.

The programme is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) and recognised by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), and benefits from Washington Accord signatory status, giving graduates an internationally recognised qualification. Graduates pursue careers as automotive engineers, consulting engineers, design engineers, drilling engineers, manufacturing engineers, mechanical engineers, mechatronic engineers, power station engineers, and project engineers.
