Advanced Master of Globalisation and Development

The Master of Globalisation and Development approaches the phenomenon of globalisation from an eclectic perspective, considering both the opportunities it creates and threats it poses to development and poverty alleviation in low and middle-income countries, at both the national and local levels. Applicants to this Master must show a keen interest in challenges for poverty reduction and sustainability related to economic and financial globalization, mobility and migration, value chains and/or climate change and environmental crises. Some of the most recurrent employers among IOB graduates are within the government sector, parliaments, inter/supranational organisations, national and international NGOs, higher education/research, and bi- or multilateral donor agencies. IOB also offers a multi-disciplinary Doctoral Programme, leading to a PhD in Development Studies.
