Frequently Asked Questions

No, UBT does not have a minimum or maximum age requirement. The only admission requirement is a  high school diploma or equivalent qualification.

Admission is open throughout the year for  Semester 1, Semester 2, and the Summer Semester. Applicants can refer to the academic calendar on the university website for specific dates.

UBT allows students to have courses completed at other institutions equated with courses at the university under the following conditions:

• The course credit hours must not be less than the credit hours of the equivalent course at UBT. In some cases, a course with one credit hour fewer may be accepted if the total credit hours meet the graduation requirements for the college.

• The content of the course must be at least 75% identical to the equivalent UBT course.

• The minimum grade for an equivalent course is C.

Yes, UBT offers scholarships and financial support options for eligible students:

• A full scholarship is awarded to the top-ranked male and female high school student in each of the 13 regions of the Kingdom.

• Students may access interest-free educational loans through the Al Rajhi Foundation for Development Finance, with the university covering the interest.

• The university also provides the option to pay tuition fees in monthly installments.

UBT requires an IELTS (Academic) score of 5.0 or a TOEFL iBT score of 59 for admission.

 

If applicants do not meet the minimum scores, they may take the English Placement Test, which determines their need for Academic English courses. UBT offers four levels of Academic English, which can be taken alongside selected college courses.
