CE professionals are committed to social justice, working to develop a range of learning and development opportunities determined by personal, social, economic and political needs.

This course is for those of you who are already employed in a CE related role, and who require a professional qualification or professional development for career advancement.

As a work-based student you will study community work theories to help you analyse and develop your own community work practice approach, through a combination of distance and on-campus learning.

Starting with an exploration of the historical and philosophical foundations influencing current practice, you will develop an understanding of relevant policy and political ideas and how they relate to community practice.
