The Master of Climate Governance and Risk Management (MCGRM) programme offered by the HKU Business School and Institute for Climate and Carbon Neutrality (ICCN) is a unique programme that integrates business acumen with a deep understanding of climate science and policy. Its aim is to equip graduates with the interdisciplinary expertise necessary to address climate change and achieve carbon neutrality through a combination of scientific, policy, and business knowledge. The programme is guided by the mission of the University of Hong Kong and is aligned with the objectives of ICCN, as well as the increasing global focus on promoting leadership and initiatives to combat climate change. Its curriculum is carefully structured to provide comprehensive global perspectives on climate governance and management issues, recognising these issues as some of the most significant challenges of our time.
With the interdisciplinary academic focus of the programme, it will be co-hosted by the HKU Business School and ICCN, in partnership with Faculties of Science, Social Sciences, Engineering, Architecture, Law and School of Public Health, who share the common missions to translate climate change and environmental related research into real world impact, to deliver the programme.

Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission to the Programme, a candidate must:
Hold a recognised bachelor's degree or equivalent;
Obtain statements from two referees, regarding his/her suitability for the programme; and
Obtain a TOEFL/IELTS* score if you are not from an English-medium university.
Minimum score requirement: TOEFL: 80 or IELTS: 6 (with no subtest below 5.5) TOEFL iBT® Home Edition and IELTS online tests are not accepted.
GMAT/GRE scores are not required, but a good GMAT/GRE score will be favourably considered and can be helpful for marginal cases.
In general, applicants are not required to attend an interview during the admissions process.
*School codes for test score reports:
TOEFL and IELTS score reports are valid for two years only. GMAT score reports are valid for five years. For example, if you submit your application form on October 2, 2020, then only the report of the TOEFL/IELTS test taken after October 1, 2018 is considered valid. Also, please make sure you arrange to get the official test report to us in time ,as the test authorities may not issue your report when the test result has expired.
