The University of Law is one of the longest-established specialist providers of legal education and business training in the UK, with campuses in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Guildford, Leeds, Manchester and Nottingham, and international campuses in Berlin and in Hong Kong. University information

Scholarships and Bursaries At The University of Law, we aim to support students from a variety of backgrounds to achieve their career ambitions and offer a range of scholarships and bursaries.  For non UK and non-EEA students, we offer bursaries to help support with the cost of tuition fees. There is no separate application process, so if you are eligible, you would be informed in your offer letter. Information on International Scholarships can be found on our website. Switch It Up Our Switch It Up facility provides the opportunity to switch course or campus on our LLBs, giving the chance for some degree students to study in more than one city. Terms and Conditions apply.
Accommodation: For new first-year undergraduates, there is an accommodation guarantee for students accepting their offer and selecting ULaw as their firm choice (Terms and Conditions apply).  Studentpad, ULaw’s online accommodation service, offers advice on choosing a suitable property and location information for that accommodation. Accommodation would be provided by specialist UK student accommodation providers.

Undergraduate study with The University of Law (ULaw)

The University of Law (ULaw) has been ranked first amongst universities for overall student satisfaction in England in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2020.

Students are taught by experts – for example, over 90% of our LLB tutors are qualified lawyers. Our CMI accredited undergraduate business degrees have been designed with employability in mind.

Our undergraduate programmes include:

·         Degrees in the areas of business, criminology, policing and law.

·         Degree courses available as a four year degree with a Foundation Year – with the Foundation Year enabling students to develop the skills required for degree-level study.

·         Business degrees covering all key disciplines or some that are more focused on a specific area of interest.

·         An International Foundation Programme for Law or, an International Foundation Programme for Business – these particular courses are specifically designed for International Students.

Depending on the course, our Undergraduate programmes are available at up to seven locations in England: Birmingham, Bristol, Guildford, Leeds, London Bloomsbury, Manchester and Nottingham.

Our smaller campus sizes allow our tutors to build a personal relationship with every student, providing them with maximum support to reach their individual aspirations.

For undergraduate studies, ULaw Business School runs out of campuses in Birmingham, Leeds, London Bloomsbury, Manchester, Nottingham and we offer undergraduate business courses with GISMA Business School, in Berlin, such as our BSc Digital Marketing.

For those considering studying online, we also offer a range of Undergraduate Online Law and Undergraduate Online Business courses through ULaw Online, our Online Campus.

At Postgraduate level, ULaw offers a range of postgraduate legal training and Master’s degrees, designed by qualified experts to help students advance at any stage of their career. 

Our law courses are employment-focused, honing key skills in a teaching environment, based on real legal practice. 

For our LPC, 95% of our 2017/18 full-time UK LPC graduates secured work or further study within fifteen months of successfully completing this course (based on Graduate Outcomes data).  We were the first university in the UK to run an online LPC.

For our BPC, 59% of our full-time UK/EEA Bar Practice Course students graduating in 2018 secured a pupillage (based on student data collated September 2020).

Employability Service Our specialist legal careers and employability service is one of the largest in the UK. Our expert pro bono and work experience team provide access to over 3,000 opportunities, enabling students to work on real cases and put their legal skills into practice. Students will also get access to legal vacancies. We have an established mentoring programme - we work with over 500 practising lawyers who bring a wealth of experience to our student mentoring programmes. Postgraduate students can apply for the mentoring scheme, where they can experience legal practice with guidance from a dedicated and experienced mentor. ULaw Business School is similarly employability focused. We have a programme of activities and support to help you every step of the way towards a successful career.
