A candidate for admission to the final honours course shall have:

(1) satisfied all requirements for admission to the degree of AQF Level 7 Bachelor of International Studies or AQF Level 7 Bachelor of International Studies (Advanced) from The University of New England or equivalent; and

(2) passed units to the value of at least 36 credit points in the major in which the candidate wishes to proceed, except that with the approval of the course coordinator, up to 12 credit points of other units may be substituted; and

(3) attained at least Distinction standard in 18 credit points in the major in which the candidate wishes to proceed.
