  • You must have, or be expecting to obtain, at least a 2.1 degree at Undergraduate level from a UK university, or overseas equivalent
  • The finance programmes are challenging technical courses. To succeed on these courses you will need strong mathematics and statistics or econometrics ability
  • You are unlikely to be considered if your degree is in business, commerce, or other similar areas as it is unlikely that you will have had sufficient formal training
  • When assessing your academic record, we take into account your grade average, and the position of the institution where you studied your qualification.

Candidates who have aspirations in finance and have studied quantitative undergraduate degrees such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science and Engineering are also encouraged to apply, particularly those who have opted for finance or economics in those areas.

For those applicants with a quantitative degree at undergraduate level, but who have not yet studied Finance or Economics, we offer a supplementary course that you can take at your own pace in Summer 2026. These will provide you with the additional skills and knowledge in Finance and Economics for you to succeed on the course. We may require engagement with this supplementary course depending on your academic background.
