Overview

WMG is one of the largest academic departments at the University of Warwick; a university that ranks amongst the top in the UK (The Guardian league table, 2020) with an international reputation for academic and research excellence. 

At WMG, we offer postgraduate and professional education programmes that meet business and industry needs and attract high calibre students and executives.

Our 15 specialist full-time Master’s courses provide far more than just hours in the classroom; with strong links to industry our courses enable students to understand in detail what will be expected of them when working in a global economy.

Innovative teaching methods enable students to engage actively in their studies; whilst extensive use of case studies and guest lectures from experts from industry, ensure theory and techniques are put into context and provide real-world insight into problems and solutions facing modern business.


Studying at a campus university means experiencing a real sense of community and belonging. Warwick has an award winning campus situated in the heart of England, on the outskirts of the city of Coventry, and next to the county of Warwickshire. The social, sporting and academic facilities at Warwick are wide-ranging; with supermarkets, shops, banks, restaurants, bars and sports facilities all situated on, or within walking distance of, Warwick’s campus. You will be studying in an attractive, lively and safe environment. London is just one hour away by train, so you will have the added advantage of easily being able to explore this world city.

We believe that it is important for you to make the most out of your student experience, both within academic and social contexts. Through WMG's programme of extra-curricular activities and dedicated support, you'll enhance your CV, develop academic skills, network with businesses and get to know your fellow students. As well as this, every student has a dedicated personal tutor, who will act as a point of contact throughout your time with us.

In order to meet WMG's academic entry requirement for full-time MSc programmes, you should have obtained the equivalent of a good second class honours degree in a science, engineering, IT, business or management discipline. There are some differences in the requirements for each course, so please visit the course pages on our website for entry requirements to your chosen programme.

Our aim is for you to become successful and highly employable. Warwick Careers and Skills provides 1-1 support to help you build a strong CV and develop an effective career planning strategy. Practical careers focused workshops strengthen your interview, presentation, and networking skills, and regular careers events, bring you closer to potential employers. We offer life-long careers support so whatever stage of your career you are at, you can still benefit from Warwick’s expertise and connections.

As well as this, WMG offers bespoke support to its full-time MSc students. Throughout the year, we also host activities and events that will help you to understand potential career pathways including; seminars; external speakers; industrial visits; alumni talks and more. We encourage our students to make the most of the opportunities available to learn about career options for the future. You'll be studying in an environment surrounded by professionals from a range of industries and sectors; including hearing directly from industry experts and guest speakers in many of our modules.
