Bachelor of Arts in Genetics

The Genetics major offers a solid foundation in biological principles with specialized courses to allow an understanding of genetics at the molecular, cellular, organismal, and evolutionary levels. With a degree in Genetics, you will be a valuable addition to work involved with genetic engineering, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and environmental science, as well as related to gene therapy, ancestry research, and genetic counseling. Our alumni have gone on to medical school and graduate-level studies in many fields including chemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, and neuroscience.
