Carlos Albizu University

The historical origin of Carlos Albizu University dates back to the year 1966, when the Puerto Rico Institute of Psychology was founded with the specific objective of offering a Master of Science degree in clinical psychology. At that time, there were very few mental health professionals on the Island and most of them received their professional education outside of Puerto Rico.In addition to offering a culturally sensitive curriculum and an intensive and varied practicum experiences, our programs in psychology, business administration, education and speech language therapy and pathology, are unique in the field of professional education given our ability to offer flexible programs of studies. This flexibility is sensitive to the needs of the working professional in search of a change in career, and /or those who cannot engage in daytime studies due to present job and or family commitments.
