This Film-making degree is designed for those wishing to unlock their potential and gain a practical insight into how the film business works. Students will understand the long and complicated process of how a film is conceived, financed, shot, delivered and exploited. This course will cover the fundamentals of film making, and students will learned an overall understanding of the business of film by following the film making cycle from the acquisition of the original rights to the underlying material, the legal and financing process through the period of pre-production and shoot to its completion, it's delivery, both physical and legal, the sales and marketing and distribution of the film. The Department of Theatre, Film and Television Studies has constructed a viewing, dubbing and grading theatre which will allow students to complete and screen their films in a professional environment.
