A degree in History will allow students to place the past in perspective, and equip them with the analytical skills of interpretation, analysis and communication that are both vital in everyday life and highly sought after by employers. Students may explore their own historical interests on this degree. The teaching is innovative, research-based and designed to train students in the Historical skills of interpretation, analysis, and communication that are transferable for the workplace. The subject specialisms enable students to follow their historical interests from the early medieval period to the present day, ranging across four continents, and embracing political, social, economic and cultural history.
This course is also available with either an integrated foundation year, or year studying abroad, as well as a joint honours with: English Literature; German; Drama and Theatre; Education; Creative Writing; International Relations; Welsh; or Mathematics.
