This BEng in in Mechanical Engineering course is focused on
producing high-calibre engineering graduates who are experienced in the
application of core mechanical engineering theory and practice to successfully
deliver solutions to industry problems. In addition to the principles of
machine design and advance simulation and modelling techniques, students will
also gain knowledge of industrial manufacturing and process optimisation. This course
covers theory and technical skills as well as the research and business
techniques needed by professional engineers. This course is accredited by the
Institution of Agricultural Engineers (IAgrE) on behalf of the Engineering
Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for
registration as a Chartered Engineer.
