It also encompasses the study of food additives, agricultural compounds such as insecticides, and even animal venoms and toxins. You may have the opportunity to go on a work placement to companies such as AstraZeneca, GlaxoSmithKline and Pfizer. Many of our graduates work in academia and the pharmaceutical industry. The majority of graduates continue with research studies and gain MSc and PhD qualifications before moving into employment.
