The Master of Midwifery Practice is a coursework program aiming
to prepare Registered Nurses to become competent, confident midwives registered
with NMBA. This course is only offered to domestic students. This course will
be completed in two years minimum, with the first year is taken part-time and
second year full-time. Students complete the first year of the course part-time
to enable them to commence their 'continuity of care' clinical experiences,
where they meet regularly with women during their pregnancy and perinatal
period. The second year of the course is full-time.

of employment as a midwifery student in a maternity hospital,

a statement detailing their interest in the midwifery course and the skills
they have achieved in nursing to assist midwifery practice, AND
provide a copy of resume.
