Finance is the management of money, banking, investments and credit. Finance majors gain an understanding of how to acquire, manage and invest corporate funds. They also study financial institutions, financial markets, security analysis and investments For this area of specialization, students must earn a grade of C (2.0) or higher in BUAD 3040 and complete a total of 21 hours. The Finance Department offers two majors in Corporate Finance and Financial Services leading to challenging careers in the business, government, and the non-profit sectors. Within the majors, students will select a career rack with specialized coursework. The majors consist of four -six required courses beyond BUAD 3040, and additional finance electives to equal the 21 hours.
