Our MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine is based on the philosophy of total care for athletes and promoting physical activity in the community. Whether you’ve studied medicine, physiotherapy, sport and exercise science, or have a clinical background, this course will equip you with the specialist training to start a career in sports medicine.

Learn on the field by providing pitch-side care for athletes at sporting events at our 2,000 seat University Arena, or through working with one of our affiliated franchise teams and local clubs. From working with athletes to manage sporting injuries to maximising the health of your patients through exercise, you’ll learn the latest practice across the areas of sport and exercise science.

You’ll have unique opportunities for hands-on experience with access to our specialist facilities including our BASES-accredited human performance labs. You can measure joint movement patterns on our isokinetic dynamometer or an athlete’s skeletal movement with clinical gait analysis.

Based on our health and wellbeing campus, you’ll work alongside, and collaborate with, other healthcare professionals. Study advanced anatomy in our dedicated anatomy suite, which uses high-fidelity models alongside state-of-the-art digital simulations of life-size human bodies.
