The Communication Department offers a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Communication, and uses English as the medium of instruction. The programme offered has three specializations: Creative Media, Public Communication, Journalism & Mass Communication. The curriculum is diverse in terms of course offerings, and flexible in that it offers students a wide range of choices.

The curriculum has three main functions: firstly, to help students develop their written, spoken and visual communication literacies; secondly, to equip students with analytical and problem-solving skills; thirdly, to provide students with vocational skills and knowledge in areas such as media production and digital technology, public relations and journalism.

Graduates from the Communication Department go into the workforce with excellent communication skills, relevant vocational knowledge, and the expertise and ability to think creatively and analytically. These are all qualities that are highly valued by employers.
