The College of Medicine at Northern Border University was established and it is considered the first medical college in the northern border region. The program was approved by King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah to be the approved curriculum for teaching various courses, where basic medical subjects are taught, followed by teaching clinical years courses, and then a training year called the year of privilege. The study system in the first and second years adopts the semester system and in the following years from the third to the sixth the system of short courses (modules), whereby the student devote himself to completing the study of one course in a specified period and completing it before starting the study of the next course.
