The program provides a solid scientific foundation in computing, mathematics, and core artificial intelligence technologies, including machine learning, data analytics, computer vision, natural language processing, robotics, and intelligent systems. By combining theoretical knowledge with practical training and applied projects, students gain the ability to design, develop, and implement intelligent solutions that address real-world challenges across various sectors.
The program's curriculum was developed in accordance with national and international academic accreditation standards, including those of the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) and the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). As the program is newly launched and has not yet graduated its first cohort of students, it is not currently accredited. However, its academic structure is designed to meet the requirements of these bodies. The department plans to formally apply for accreditation once the necessary conditions are met and the appropriate timeframe is reached.
The program also offers flexible exit points that grant intermediate qualifications, allowing students to enter the job market at different stages or continue their academic path to obtain the full degree.
With its advanced curriculum and focus on practical skills, the Artificial Intelligence program seeks to qualify graduates capable of contributing to the Kingdom’s digital transformation and promoting a knowledge-based economy at both the national and global levels.
