Odesa State Agrarian University (OSAU) is one of the oldest agrarian higher education institutions in the South of Ukraine. Its history dates back to 1918. OSAU is the leading educational and scientific centre where highly skilled specialists for different branches are trained.
Currently, the University offers diverse educational possibilities to more than 2.000 students from all over Ukraine, as well as students from abroad. 150 teachers are employed at the University, most of them having Ph.D. or Doctor of Science degree. OSAU is introducing education programs in English to increase the number of international students.
The University has 4 Faculties (Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Geodesy, Land Management and Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Economics and Management, and Faculty of Agrobiotechnology), Educational and Scientific Institute of Biotechnology and Aquaculture, College of Bioresource Management, Odesa Professional Lyceum and Institute of Postgraduate Education. The most modern scientific and pedagogical technologies are used to ensure the high-level education.
OSAU has a developed infrastructure, including the University “Veterinary Clinic” where practical classes are held and veterinary aid is delivered, Multifunctional Research Laboratory of Veterinary Medicine, which was founded with the EU financial and scientific support, and OSAU Earth Satellite Monitoring Centre.
The University constantly develops international cooperation, carries out international projects, research activities, scientific conferences, seminars and workshops. 25 bilateral agreements and memorandums have been concluded with the Institutions from different countries. Students and staff academic mobility within Erasmus+ European Program is annually realised. Leading professors and experts from foreign Universities, research institutions and business structures regularly deliver lectures to OSAU students.
