Students who want to further develop their knowledge and understanding can study an extra two years to complete one of the Master’s programmes offered by the Academy. After the successful completion of a degree project students are awarded a degree of Master in Music, constituting 120 higher education credits. Teaching schedules are concentrated and intensive and a lot of time is given to instrument and interpretation studies as well as chamber music, ensemble and orchestra practice. The academic year consists of 40 weeks of which six are spent working intensively on a project led by international guest lecturers and conductors. The master’s programmes are given with several specialisations.
