Admission Requirements
a. SSSCE Applicants
Applicants must have credit passes (A-D) in THREE CORE SUBJECTS in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science and passes (A-D) in THREE SCIENCE
ELECTIVES in Physics, Chemistry and Elective Mathematics or THREE GENERAL ARTS ELECTIVES in Economics, Geography, Government, History, Elective Mathematics or THREE BUSINESS ELECTIVES in Accounting, Business Management, Economics, Principles of Costing and Elective Mathematics.
b. WASSCE Applicants
Applicants must have credit passes (A1-C6) in THREE CORE SUBJECTS in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science and passes (A1-C6) in THREE SCIENCE
ELECTIVES in Physics, Chemistry and Elective Mathematics or THREE GENERAL ARTS ELECTIVES in Economics, Geography, Government, Elective Mathematics or THREE
BUSINESS ELECTIVES in Accounting, Business Management, Economics, Principles of Costing and Elective Mathematics.
c. GCE Advanced Level Applicants
Applicants must have passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better). In addition, the applicant must have had credits passes (Grade 6) in five (5) GCE ORDINARY LEVEL subjects, including English Language, Mathematics and one Arts or one Business subject for non-science applicants.
d. Mature Applicants
Applicants must have attained 25 years of age, and show proof of age with birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of date of birth, which is at least 5 years old at the time of application. The applicant must also have passes in FIVE SUBJECTS at SHS LEVEL, including English Language and Mathematics or credits in FIVE
SUBJECTS AT GCE ORDINARY LEVEL, including English Language and Mathematics. In addition, applicants must have relevant working experience and must pass an interview conducted by the Department.
e. International Applicants
Qualifications acceptable for consideration for admission include International Baccalaureate (IB), IGCSE, GCSE, American Grade 13 examinations and other external
qualifications, which are equivalent to the WASSCE/SSSCE and the GCE (A levels). International applicants whose first language is not English are required to have
proficiency in English from a recognised institution before they can register on the programme. Equivalences with regard to the certificates would be sought at the
National Accreditation Board by the University.
