Entry requirements into the programme
are as follows:
a. SSSCE Applicants
Applicants must have passes (A-D) in THREE CORE SUBJECTS in English Language, Mathematics and
Integrated Science AND passes (A-D) in THREE
SCIENCE ELECTIVES in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
b. WASSCE Applicants
Applicants must have credit passes (A1-C6) in THREE CORE SUBJECTS in English
Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science AND credit passes (A1-C6) in THREE SCIENCE ELECTIVES in
Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
c. GCE Advanced Level Candidates Applicants
Applicants must have Credits passes (Grade 6) in at least FIVE GCE ORDINARY LEVEL subjects or
its equivalent including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, AND passes (Grade D or better) at GCE ADVANCED LEVEL in Mathematics,
Physics and Chemistry.
d. Mature Applicants
Applicants must have attained 25 years of age and have passes in FIVE SUBJECTS AT SHS LEVEL including
English Language and Mathematics or credits in FIVE SUBJECTS AT GCE ORDINARY LEVEL, including English Language
and Mathematics. In addition, candidate
must have relevant working experience and must pass an interview conducted by
the Department.
e. Foreign Applicants
i. Required subjects for Science: English, Mathematics, Physics and
Chemistry, Further Mathematics for Physical Sciences and a pass in one arts
subject.
ii. Other Qualifications: Other qualifications
acceptable for consideration for admission include International Baccalaureate (IB), IGCSE, GCSE, American Grade 13
examinations and other external qualifications, which are equivalent to the
WASSCE/SSSCE and the GCE (A levels).
International students whose first language is not English are
required to have proficiency in English from a recognised institution before
they can register on the programme.

Admission Requirements
