The primary objective of the ARUCAD Master’s in Design Programme is to provide students who have graduated from Architecture, Interior Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban and Industrial Design undergraduate programmes or related disciplines with the knowledge and skills to conduct scientific research, and to train creative professionals who are competent in their field, actively participating in and having a voice in national and international professional work and discussions. In line with this objective, the mission of ARUCAD’s Master’s in Design Programme is to provide undergraduate students with the knowledge and skills to conduct scientific research on current topics in architecture and urban design (e.g., Design theories, ecological design, building design, traditional architecture, urban design, contemporary architecture, and current issues) within the framework of international standards and ethical values, to develop creative solutions to architectural design problems, to conduct scientific studies using modern technologies, to publish results and take an active role in social studies by sharing them with other stakeholders.
In this context, the main strengths of ARUCAD’s Master’s in Design Programme consist of its education-research programme following international standards, an interdisciplinary approach, and a strong academic staff who have actively participated in many national and international research and/or projects, studios and design workshops equipped with modern technologies for research and development, a computer laboratory, library, and strong national and international collaborations. The ARUCAD Master’s in Design Programme offers both thesis-based and non-thesis-based programmes. Both programmes are taught in English, and the duration of study is two years.

Graduates of the Master’s in Design Programme (both thesis and non-thesis) will gain the competency to actively participate in national and international scientific projects and research. Additionally, they can take active roles in various international (e.g., EU Programmes) or national private (e.g., Architecture, engineering and contracting offices) and public (e.g., City Planning Department, Ministries and Highways) sectors. Alternatively, they can pursue a doctoral degree to pursue an academic career.

University provides students with an STUDIO style comfortable accommodation option.
Our STUDIO is located within 10 minutes walking distance from the university’s campus, offers a standard 2 persons Studio flat type accommodation in a safe, comfortable and well-cared environment.
Each studio flat is fully furnished with bed with base storage, wardrobe, L-shaped sofa, TV, fully functional kitchen and toilet/bathroom. Each studio has Wi-Fi and AC and telephone in each room. Access to the building, elevators, and rooms is operated by key card entry system.
Staying at the university’s accommodation is believed to shorten your adaptation period on the island and university. Since your personal needs will be served in the best possible way, you will be free to focus on your studies.
Based on the assessment of your application (academic credentials and portfolio) students have an excellent opportunity to receive up to 50% scholarship on tuition fees.
