The Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Development from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina will provide university professionals with the knowledge, skills, and ethical values ​​necessary for professional development in engineering and related disciplines, based on sustainable development. This study takes into account that the application of applied sciences can affect the common good and the well-being of the human environmental system if current regulations and civil liability are not complied with in all aspects involved. It will expand the student's capacity to: 
  • Develop, design, and implement Environmental Management Programs aimed at achieving effective practices within the sustainable socioeconomic development model, which is a priority for environmental protection.
  • Establish sustainable strategies integrated with other perspectives with practices based on addressing the generation, management, conduction, transportation, and final disposal of urban, industrial, and hazardous solid waste.
  • Conduct diagnostics, environmental audits, and environmental impact studies (EIA) in companies and/or institutions, and their subsequent Environmental Impact Assessment.

Admission Requirements

Hold one of the following degrees: Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Food Engineering, Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Architecture; Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology, Bachelor's Degree in Biology, and Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, issued by a national or private university, or by a validated or revalidated foreign university, as appropriate.
