The graduate of the Master of Comparative Literatures will have the ability to:
  • Study aspects and issues related to literary texts in interlinguistic, intercultural and international contexts;
  • Carry out comparative analysis of literary texts, literary texts and other types of artistic texts, and of literary texts and non-fictional texts;
  • Justify the critical task itself with up-to-date theoretical and methodological tools, typical of Comparative Literatures and neighboring fields of knowledge such as Cultural History, Sociology of Literature, Cultural Studies and Gender Studies;
  • Analyze and critically interpret the figurations of otherness that are proposed in verbal, iconic and audiovisual artistic discourses;
  • Advise on literary and cultural issues;
  • Design and implement projects related to educational and cultural policies around comparative literature and Ibero-American cultural diversity.
