The Catholic University of America’s Master of Arts program in Greek and Latin offers an in-depth exploration of ancient languages, literatures, and cultures. This program provides the strongest possible foundation for additional work in classics or related disciplines. Completion of this degree (or its approved equivalent from another institution) is a prerequisite for our department's Ph.D. program. With full-time study, this M.A. can be completed in two to three years, depending upon when a student elects to take comprehensive exams.
