Natural disasters, climate change, pollution - we face modern-day challenges every day. That’s where our students come in. Students will use technology to tackle these environmental impacts head-on. Since we are continually motivated to improve our programs, we’ve even started a new initiative on Climate Change, inspired by Pope Francis’ Encyclical Letter “Laudato Sí.”

Environmental engineers are responsible for managing the impacts that humans have on the natural and built environment. They design systems that purify and distribute water; collect, manage and treat wastewater; protect natural ecological environments; control air pollution; clean contaminated sites; provide clean energy; and create sustainable world for future generations.

Environmental engineering is truly a multi-disciplinary area of engineering that combines physics, chemistry, biology, ecology, geology, geography, mathematics and public policy.
