At Coventry University London, the new Cutlers Exchange in Devonshire Square gives an extra 20,000 square feet of new teaching spaces, a postgraduate centre, a financial suite, seven new collaborative working spaces and a new event space. The facility features the latest technologies, including Bloomberg terminals, computer and IT labs, and a Standard and Poor’s Market Intelligence Suite.

University House

Our main teaching site, University House, is easy to spot, with its 16-foot high gateway in the middle of the City of London. Consisting of four teaching floors, it houses state-of-the-art classrooms and suites that provide you with a seamless, business-authentic learning experience. You will also find our student support services here, such as the Students’ Union and our Digital Services tech bar. Other facilities include:

  • a recently expanded library with around 100 study spaces, including silent study areas
  • a Mac suite equipped with the latest industry software for digital and creative work
  • our dedicated Student Lounge and several other drop-in social areas
  • our Talent Team offices, where students can access personalised careers support
  • the Enterprise Hub, which supports student entrepreneurs
  • two fashion studios for classes and workshops, and a combined photography and visual merchandising studio
  • a ground floor café that serves a selection of hot and cold food and drinks.

Cutlers Exchange

Our Postgraduate Centre and Financial Suite is around the corner from University House, in the Cutlers Exchange building. Our Postgraduate Centre features everything you need to make the most of your studies, including:

  • open-design classrooms
  • an integrated student/staff hang out area
  • specialised ‘pods’ for group work equipped with interactive screens, and
  • a selection of private study and social break-out areas.

Our Financial Suite on the fifth floor offers the latest financial and trading technologies. These include computer labs equipped with software used by top global companies, Bloomberg trading floor terminals to conduct simulation projects, and our Standard and Poor Market Intelligence Suite, which contains software used by Wall Street traders. This suite comes with a range of industry tools to help you track performance, identify investment ideas, understand industry dynamics and perform risk assessments.

Accommodation

There are many accommodation options available, from house and fat shares to university affliated accommodation and private halls. If you would prefer to stay in privateaccommodation either with a group of friends, or as a way to meet new people we have a number of options for you to choose from.

Moving into student accommodation is a brilliant way to transition into student life. To help you settle into your home, Chapter Spitalfelds typically offer a range of welcome events and activities, like a new arrivals trip to IKEA so you can pick up essentials and decorate your room. Other weekly events have included cooking classes, social nights, fitness and wellbeing, art classes and karaoke.

Chapter Spitalfelds has recently been refurbished with a brand-new ground floor and reception area, alongside:

We design all of our courses to be interactive and relevant to the business world. You should benefit from a mixture of lectures, seminars and group work, while many assessments are based on coursework.

Placements

Our dedicated Talent Team are available to offer you specialist careers advice. This includes support in learning the skills to market yourself to employers, guidance in identifying a career plan and preparing for interviews and graduate assessment centres. In previous years, we have hosted a mock assessment day at Tottenham Hotspur FC, where students were able to experience typical one-to-one interviews, presentations and group exercises first-hand.
