On this MSc Global Financial Trading, you’ll develop a thorough understanding of how the markets work, enabling you to make money, while understanding where the pitfalls lie and how best to avoid them. ‘Trading’ covers the selection, purchase and sale of financial securities, and is at the core of global financial markets. Its activities range from arbitrage and market-making by individual traders to proprietary trading by financial institutions. To be a successful trader, and to lead trading desks or departments, you need an understanding of trading economics, global economic fundamentals, market behaviour analysis, technical indicators and algorithmic trading. Using our on-campus simulated trading floor, this course offers hands-on experience in the art of trading. This practical dimension is underpinned by a solid grounding in the behaviour of global financial markets, the principles of equity trading and evaluation, bond trading and financial derivatives, stock markets in emerging economies, and proprietary trading.
