Mastertrack Regenerative Medicine and Technology

Regenerative medicine is about replacing, engineering or regenerating human cells, tissues or organs to restore or establish normal function. This can be achieved by stimulating the body's own repair mechanisms or, when the body cannot heal itself, by implanting new tissues and organs grown in the laboratory. This program is developed in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine of Utrecht University, the special master’s track Regenerative Medicine and Technology (RMT) aims to educate the next generation of scientists and engineers. It combines the expertise of both universities, and includes courses on molecular cell biology, biomaterials, computational modelling, bioreactor technology and translational research. It comprises a mixture of courses, an (international) internship and an in-depth research project.
