Environmental Sciences is a field that studies natural processes that occur, their causes, and consequences. The Doctoral program in Environmental Science deals with the study of the environment in a chemical, biological, and physical context with emphasis on energy conservation, pollution, climatic changes, biodiversity, global warming and other emerging areas. It involves fieldwork as well as lab research and testing via experimental and modelling mode.
Students will be able to use their research findings to develop policies that can help to protect the environment like desertification, global warming, melting of the glaciers in the Arctic cap, as well as the pollution of the land, air, and water. Admission Requirements

A Master's degree from a recognized Indian University or any other equivalent degree to the satisfaction of the Academic Council of the University, in the relevant field, with not less than 55% marks in aggregate or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale or equivalent.

Note:  Candidates who have qualified in UGC NET/CSIR (JRF) Examination/SLET/GATE/Teacher Fellowship holder or have passed M.Phil. Programmes are exempted from Written Examinations.
