The MPhil/PhD in Visual Sociology allow students to combine
written sociological argument with film, sound, or photographic representation.
All students need to complete the research training modules outlined for the
MPhil/PhD programme. The PhD will allow students to re-think the gathering,
analysis and presentation of research data and consider the future of
